Protein provides many health benefits such as building muscles, building strong bones, repairing tissues, boosting metabolism, building a healthy immune system. Therefore, it becomes important for us to include adequate amount of protein in our diet.

If you do not consume enough protein then it directly affects your health. Protein is found in both plant and animal sources. Animal sources, such as chicken, tuna, poultry, fish contain high protein. On the other hand, major plant sources of protein include nuts, seeds, potatoes, whole grains and legumes.

Protein-rich eggs are one of the healthiest and most nutritious foods on earth. It is packed with essential vitamins, minerals, healthy fats, and eye-protecting antioxidants. Therefore, we should include eggs in our diet almost daily. There is a lot of protein in the egg, but its white part is almost pure protein. Chicken breast is an ideal high-protein diet option, which can be easily included in your dish, but you should avoid eating processed and packaged chicken. Chicken is also a source of B vitamins, such as niacin and vitamin B6, which are important for reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease, controlling diabetes, supporting brain health, and lowering LDL cholesterol levels.

7. High Protein Food Is Lentils:

Lentils are a well-known source of protein for vegetarians. Not only protein, lentils are rich in nutrients and minerals like fiber, folate, manganese, iron, phosphorous, potassium and B vitamins. The protein present in lentils helps in maintaining heart health, aiding in digestion and controlling blood sugar levels.

8. Almonds are high protein food

Do not forget these beneficial dry fruits. Almonds are a healthy snack that contains protein, antioxidants, unsaturated fatty acids and fiber. Almonds also offer many health benefits such as protecting your heart from cardiovascular disease, reducing inflammation, improving skin health and helping to control blood sugar levels. Nut butter is another way to include almonds in your diet. Almond butter can be made at home.
